Standard Warranty Policy of UTT Products
UTT Technologies warrants for hardware for a period of certain days from the Starting Date.
Definition: “Starting Date” as used in this warranty policy means (i) the date this product is delivered from the manufacturing site of UTT Technologies Co., Ltd. (“UTT Technologies”), or (ii) in the case of resale by an authorized reseller of UTT, the date is not more than ninety (90) days since original delivery date of this product by UTT.
1.The warranty period of hardware is one (1) year.
If the hardware incurs problems in material and workmanship under normal authorized use consistent with the product instructions within the warranty period, UTT Technologies will provide return-to-factory repair after receiving an application, with a ten (10) days turnaround from the date of receipt of the product at a UTT Technologies Repair Center. UTT Technologies, at its sole discretion, will either repair or replace the failure hardware. The replacement hardware may be new or refurbished equipment of the same type, function and quality. The failure hardware which has been replaced belongs to UTT Technologies. UTT Technologies will use commercially reasonable efforts to ship the replacement hardware within ten (10) days after receipt of the product at a UTT Technologies Repair Center. Actual delivery times may vary depending on the customer location.
The warranty period of product will not be influenced due to resale or repair. But the warranty period for the replacement or the repaired unit is three months or the remainder of the initial warranty period both starting from the delivery of the replacement or the repaired unit by UTT Technologies, whichever is longer.
Customer Carry-In or Mail-In Service is for all UTT Technologies product.
2.Dead On Arrival (DOA).
Within fifteen (15) days from the Starting Date, you will receive the New Equipment Replacement Service.
Within fifteen (15) days from the Starting Date, the followed problems are defined as Dead On Arrival (DOA):
i) The contents do not agree with the inventory upon unpacking.
ii) Part or whole of hardware (excluding disk) fails to operate upon unpacking. “Fail to operate“ shall mean a material failure to substantially perform in accordance with the hardware's technical specifications (excluding exterior nick or other deficiencies that do not materially affect hardware performance).
iii) Other hardware failure is identified by the remote or local detect of UTT Technologies engineers.
NOTE: Please show the warranty card (or invoice) when you apply for DOA. If you cannot display the invoice or valid warranty card, the time limit is thirty days from the date that the product is delivered from the manufacturing site of UTT.
3.You can download the latest drivers for your products from the UTT website: www.uttglobal.com.
4.Please remember to make back-up copies of all important data stored in your product, because data may be lost during repair or replacement of the product. UTT Technologies, in a manner consistent with the provisions of the section entitled " Limitation of Liability " below, shall not under any circumstances be liable for any damages or losses of any kind whatsoever resulting from loss of, damage to, or corruption of data during repair or replacement of the product.
Limitation of Liability
1.No warranty will apply if the product:
has been beyond the Warranty Period;
has been greatly damaged caused by rough handling (including, without limitation, defects caused by sharp items, by bending, compressing or dropping, etc.);
has not been installed or operated in accordance with instructions released by UTT Technologies in the enclosed documentation;
has been subject to unreasonable physical impact, fire, lightning, flood, misuse, or disaster.
2.The warranty period of external power is ninety (90) days. Warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by external factors.
3.This Limited Warranty does not cover accessories such as user guide, power cords, cables, etc.
You can choose paid service for maintenance and repair.
UTT Technologies will charge for hardware, accessories and transport except repair (excluding labor cost).
After the warranty period has expired you can have your device serviced or repaired with costs. UTT Technologies will not ensure the non-warranty service.
Except as expressly set forth hereby, UTT Technologies makes no warranty that is expressed implicitly or explicitly, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, adaptability for a particular purpose, and warranties or obligations arising from a course of dealing, usage or trade practice.
UTT Technologies does not warrant that the software is error free or that the customer will be able to operate the software without problems or interruption.
In no event will UTT Technologies or its affiliates or suppliers be liable for data loss of the customer due to product failure or service interruption as well as consequential direct or indirect economic loss. The total compensation amount of UTT for the customer loss due to its liability, in any cases including those expressly stipulated in a contract, will not exceed the purchase price of the product paid by the customer.
Hardware Return Procedure
Any defective item has to be returned by referring to a return material authorization (RMA) number issued by UTT Technologies. To request an RMA number, the customer can contact UTT Technologies Technical Support Center via telephone (+86 4006-880-780). Please show the warranty card (or invoice) when you apply for apply for maintenance or repair. If you cannot display the invoice or valid warranty card, the Starting Date of the Warranty Period will be the date that the product is delivered from the manufacturing site of UTT.
