A company uses one HiPER 510W to connect multiple computers to the Internet. How to prevent unauthorized access to wireless network?
 
Analysis
There are many ways to prevent unauthorized access, such as wireless encryption, disabling SSID broadcast, wireless MAC address filtering, and so on. Wireless MAC address filtering is one of the simplest ways to prevent unauthorized access. Specifically, the HiPER 510W provides one-click filtering of wireless MAC addresses, greatly simplifying configuration.
 
Configuration Steps
1.Login to the Web UI of the HiPER 510W.
2.Go to the Wireless > Client List page, and click the Filter All button to add all the listed MAC addresses into theMAC Address Filtering List.
 
 
Go to the Wireless > MAC Filtering page, select the Enable MAC Address Filtering check box, and choose Allowas Filtering Mode. Then it will allow the wireless clients with the MAC addresses listed in the MAC Address FilteringList to connect to the HiPER 510W, but block all other wireless clients.
 
 
When new wireless clients are allowed access to the HiPER 510W, you can manually add their MAC addresses one by one to the MAC Address Filtering List, by clicking the Add button below the list.
