A Configuration Example for PPPoE Server
Requirements
A residential area uses a UTT 2512 device as broadband access server, which is connected to the Internet via a100M fiber optic Internet connection. There are 30 residents connected to the UTT 2512 to access the Internet. Besides, the UTT 2512 acts as a PPPoE server to assign IP address and other information to them. The demands are as follows:
The residents must use their own account to dial up to the UTT 2512 to access the Internet, with maximum upload rate of 256k, and maximum download rate of 1.5M. Besides, each resident can only dial up from his/own computer.
The owner wants each resident to pay for Internet access by the day, and begin receiving renewal notices 3 days before the account expiration date.
When acting as a PPPoE server, the first IP address assigned by the UTT 2512 is 10.0.0.1, and primary DNS server IP address is 8.8.8.8.
The owner uses a static IP address of 192.168.16.100 to directly connect to the UTT 2512, with no rate limit.
