This document applies to the firmware version ReOS v10.
User Requirements
An Internet Café wants to limit the bandwidth of P2P traffic: the maximum upload rate of P2P traffic allowed for each LAN host is 512Kbit/s, and the maximum download rate is 1024 Kbit/s. However, the internal servers (192.168.100.251 to 192.168.100.254) are exempt from this restriction.
Configuration Steps
Login to the Web UI of the UTT router, and then follow these steps.
Configuring Address Group
First you need to create an address group that contains a range of IP addresses from192.168.100.251 to 192.168.100.254. The steps are as follows:
Go to the Security > Address Group > Address Group Settings page, see the following figure.
Enter a unique name (Server in this example) in the Name text box.
Select the New radio box, enter 192.168.100.251 in the Start Address text box, and enter 192.168.100.254 in the End Address text box.
Click ==> to move the specified address range to the Address Members list box.
Click the Save button to save the settings.
Configuring P2P Rate Limit
And then you need to configure P2P rate limit. The steps are as follows:
Go to the QoS > P2P Rate Limit page, see the following figure.
Check the Enable P2P Rate Limit check box.
Select 512K and 1M from the Max. Tx Rate and Max. Rx Rate drop-down lists respectively.
Choose Each as the Rate Limit Mode.
Select Server from the Exception drop-down list.
Click the Save button to save the settings.
Configuring QoS Global Settings
Lastly you need to configure QoS global settings. The steps are as follows:
Go to the QoS > Global Settings page, see the following figure.
Check the Enable Rate Limit check box.
Specify the Capacity as required.
Click the Save button to save the settings.
