Introduction
This document describes how to configure LAN-to-LAN PPTP VPN between UTT AC750W and UTT HiPER 510W.
Prerequisites
Requirements
Configure PPTP VPN at two different places, AC750W works as PPTP Server, 510W works as PPTP Client, after establishing successfully, users can visit each Intranet directly.
Components Used
UTT AC750W; Firmware Version:AC750Wv1.7.0-141217;
UTT HiPER 510W; Firmware Version: nv510Wv1.1.0-120926.

PPTP Server AC750W Configuration
- Create a VPN Server.
Go to “VPN > PPTP ” page, click “Add Server”, as shown in Figure 1-1:

- Enable VPN Server.
At “Global Settings” page, enable “Enable PPTP Server”, enter “Primary DNS Server”, then click “Save”, as shown in Figure 1-2:

- Configure VPN Server
At “Account Settings” page, enter the related information, then click “Save”, as shown in Figure1-3:
( Tunnel Name: Specify a unique name for the PPTP tunnel.
Tunnel Type:
LAN-to-LAN: It allows two LAN sites to securely connect over the Internet. In this case, either a UTT VPN gateway or compatible VPN appliance can act as a PPTP client.
Mobile User: It allows remote individual users to securely connect over the Internet. In this case, a laptop or desktop computer will act as a PPTP client.
User name/Password: Specify the user name and password for the PPTP client.
Remote Subnet IP Address/ Remote Subnet Mask: Specify the IP address and subnet mask of the remote network.)

PPTP Client 510W Configuration
- Create a VPN Client
Go to “VPN > PPTP” page, click “Add Client”, as shown in Figure1-4:

- Configure VPN Client
Enable VPN Client, enter the related information, then click “Save”, as shown in Figure 1-5:
( Tunnel Name: Specify a unique name for the PPTP tunnel.
Enable NAT: It allows you to enable or disable NAT on the PPTP client. In this case, it can only allow unidirectional access from the PPTP client side LAN to the server side LAN.
User name/Password: Enter the user name and password of the PPTP client.
PPP Authentication: The PPP authentication mode must match on both ends of the tunnel.
Remote Subnet IP Address/ Remote Subnet Mask: Specify the IP address and subnet mask of the remote network.
Server IP Address/Hostname: The public IP address or domain name of the remote PPTP server.)

- Establish VPN
Select this VPN Client, click “Connect”, as shown in Figure 1-6:

- Complete VPN Configuration
The Status of VPN Server and VPN Client show “Connected”, as shown in Figure 1-7:

- Test VPN
Can Ping to PC2’s IP address: 192.168.1.100 on PC1, as shown in Figure 1-8:

Troubleshoot
1. On VPN Server and VPN Client, can’t use the same LAN IP Address.
2. For the configuration of VPN Server and VPN Client, they must use the same Username and Password.
