How to Set up Network Sharing on UTT Business Routers
Introduction
This document describes how to set up network sharing on UTT business routers.
Prerequisites
Requirements
The client wants to share files in an internal network.
Components Used
Any UTT business router that supports network sharing, including UTT AC750W, UTT AC750GW and etc.( Firmware Version: AC750Wv1.7.0-150602 and above)
Configuration
- Plug a USB flash drive into the router.
- Login the Web GUI of the router (the default IP address: 192.168.1.1)
- Select Net Share > Network Sharing Management, check the boxes of Enable Storage Device and Enable Password Protection, then click Scan.
- Select Net Share > Shared Account, click Add new item to create a new account.

5. Create an account name, its password and its permission level, then click Save

6. Access the files and folders from the USB flash drive on the web browser by visiting the LAN IP address of the router (in the format of \\LAN IP address of the router).

7. Select Net Share>FTP Server. Select Enable FTP Server and Remote Access, set FTP Port to 21, and click Save.

8. Select Net Share>FTP Server>Add a new folder.

9. Create a folder name (Take“folder0” as an example.)
By checking the box of Select All, the folder name will be bound to all the files and folders on your USB storage device.

Alternatively, you could choose Select Folder to select folders only from your USB storage device and bind them to your folder name.
10. You can access the files and folders from the USB storage device on the browser by visiting the LAN/WAN IP address. (FTP://LAN IP address or FTP://WAN IP address)
Notes:
The network sharing only allows internal network access.
