Introduction

This document describes WLAN Controller works in bypass mode configuration steps.

Prerequisites

Requirements
Eg:
SSID 1: Sale       IP Address:192.168.10.0/24    VLAN 10 ;
SSID 2: Support    IP Address:192.168.20.0/24    VLAN 20;
SSID 3: Oversea    IP Address:192.168.30.0/24    VLAN 30;
SSID 4: Customer   IP Address:192.168.40.0/24    VLAN 40;
 
Components Used
UTT WLAN Controller: WX1000; Firmware Version: WX1000V1.9.3-140609;
UTT WLAN in-wall AP: WA1300N; Firmware Version: WA1300NV1.9.3-140514;

Configuration
  1. Configuring System Mode. Go to Network > System Mode page, select Bypass Mode, next configure it, then click Save, as shown in Figure 2-1:
   Note:It need to restart the device to take effect after switching mode.

  1. Disable the DHCP Server. Go to Network > DHCP Server > DHCP Address Pool List, next click default, as shown in Figure 2-2, then disable Checkbox, click Save, as shown in Figure 2-3:

  1. Create a new VLAN Interface. Go to Network > VLAN Interface > VLAN Interface List page, click Add, as shown in Figure 2-4, next configure it, then click Save, as shown in Figure 2-5:

  1. Create a new DHCP Address Pool. Go to Network > DHCP Server > DHCP Address Pool List page, click Add, as shown in Figure 2-6, next configure it, then click Save,as shown in Figure 2-7:

  1. Create a new WLAN. Go to AP Controller > WLANs > WLAN List page, click Add, as shown in Figure 2-8, next configure it, then click Save,as shown in Figure 2-9:

  1. Then you finished the configuration of the WLAN‘sale’, next create WLANs ’Support,Oversea,Customer’ as same as creating WLAN ‘sale’, after configured that, go to Network > VLAN Interface > VLAN Interface List page, you’ll see the list of VLAN Interface (VIF 10,VIF 20,VIF 30,VIF 40),as shown in Figure 2-10:

Then go to Network > DHCP Server > DHCP Address Pool List page, you’ll see the list of DHCP Address Pool (vlan10,vlan20,vlan30,vlan40),as shown in Figure 2-11:

Then go to AP Controller > WLANs > WLAN List page, you’ll see the list of WLANs (Sale,Support,Oversea,Customer),as shown in Figure 2-12:

  1. Join WLAN. Go to AP Controller > AP Management > AP List page, select one list, then input password(password is “admin” by default), click Admin, as shown in Figure 2-13, then click Join WLAN, as shown in Figure 2-14, then select the WLANs which you want to join, next click Join WLAN, as shown in Figure 2-15, after that, you will see “Joining WLAN Please Wait”, as shown in Figure 2-16:

So far ,you have finished your configuration, then go to AP Controller > AP Management > AP List page, you can see the SSID of WLANs which you have joined in the AP,as shown in Figure 2-17, then you can connect to the SSID to have a test.

Troubleshoot

In this situation : You must configure 4 IP addresses ‘192.168.10.1/24,192.168.20.1/24,
192.168.30.1/24,192.168.40.1/24’on the LAN ports of the main gateway router.
