Introduction
This document describes the application of wireless "guest" SSID On a UTT SOHO router.
Prerequisites
- Offer "guest" wireless SSID for customers;
- Deny customers visiting another SSID and wired users;
- Offer separate dhcp address pool for "guest" SSID;
- 4.Limit bandwidth for the customers who connect ‘guest’ SSID .
Components Used
UTT SOHO router AC650W; Firmware Version: nvAC650Wv1.8.0-150319;

Configuration
-
Configure "guest" SSID.
Go to Application ->Wireless page, as shown in Figure 1-1:
Figure 1-1
Click Wireless icon, select 2.4G Settings, set SSID1 as "master", set SSID2 as "guest". For SSID ISOLATION, select “SSID2 ISOLATE”, then you can set wireless password for SSID1 and SSID2 separately, then click Save, as shown in Figure 1-2:

-
Configure DHCP POOL.
Go to Application ->DHCP page, as shown in Figure 1-3:
Figure 1-3
Click DHCP icon, Enable SSID1 DHCP POOL and SSID2 DHCP POOL , then click Save, as shown in Figure 1-4:
(Note: If you enable the SSID1/SSID2 DHCP POOL, after you connect ssid1 or ssid2, you’ll obtain an IP address from SSID1/SSID2 DHCP POOL. Or you’ll obtain an IP address from DHCP POOL. )

-
Configure Bandwidth.
Go to Application ->Bandwidth Control page, as shown in Figure 1-5:
Figure 1-5
Click Bandwidth Control icon, input the IP Address for “guest” SSID DHCP POOL, and select the bandwidth you want to limit, then click Add, as shown in Figure 1-6:
Figure 1-6
So far, you have finished the configuration. After the customer connect the “guest” SSID, they can’t visit the user who connect SSID1 and wired users. And their bandwidth also be limited. Quite easy to control.
Troubleshooting:
With the developing of 5GHz - new generation WiFi standard of 802.11ac, if you want to use 5GHz band wireless, you can use the same setting way as 2.4GHz to configure 5G SSID, enable 5G DHCP POOL and configure bandwidth
