Introduction
The client who wants to access the Internet must enter the account and password. This document describes how to configure Web authentication which is based on SE 3.0 version. If you enable Web authentication on your UTT gateway, those non-PPPoE dial-up users cannot access the Internet through the UTT gateway until they have successfully authenticated.
Prerequisites
1. a UTT Business Router (hereinafter shorted as “the Router"), such as UTT router N518W, AC750W, AC750GW, AC1220GW, ER518, ER840G and ER4240G. Firmware Version: 3.0.0 or above
2. a PC/laptop connected to the Router wirelessly or through an Ethernet cable
Configuration
1. Go to User Management > User Group, create a user group.
2. Add users to the group and setup authentication account, click Save.
3. Go to User Management > User Authentication > Authentication Settings > Web Authentication > Configuration.
4. Please skip the step if you do not need advanced options to the Web Authentication Page. Click Edit to the specify the authentication page.
5. Enable or Disable Background picture depends on your actual needs. (Picture link supports http only)
6. Click Preview to check the Authentication Page. (Here is an example for reference)
7. Back to the Authentication Settings Page and Enable Web Authentication.
8. Internet access takes effect once successfully completed authentication.
